Reducing Methane Emissions
Rumin8, a climate technology company that aims to reduce the methane produced by cows, raised $12M from Bill Gates-founded Breakthrough Energy Ventures and Andrew and Nicola Forrest’s agri-food business Harvest Road Group.
Rumin8 identifies naturally occurring compounds that have anti-methanogenic properties and reproduces them in a highly efficient, low-cost, scalable, and high-quality process to feed to livestock to reduce their emissions.

Skillit, a recruiting platform for full-time construction labor, raised $5.1M from Building Ventures, MetaProp, HOLT Ventures, Great North Ventures, 1Sharpe Ventures and Takeoff Capital.
Sandbar, a fintech startup that provides anti-money laundering, fraud, and counter-terrorism risk detection software, raised $4.8M from Lachy Groom, Abstract Ventures and BoxGroup.
GoodOnes, a startup using AI to pick photos and declutter camera storage, raised $3.5M from TLV Partners, Liquid2 Ventures, Rich Miner and Peter Welinder.
Julier Medical, a medical device company focused on the removal of blood clots and post-stroke revascularization for patients experiencing Acute Ischemic Strokes, raised €3M from Sofinnova Partners.
VisioLab, a company that offers AI-based self-checkout solutions for food service providers to reduce labor costs and improve customer experience, raised €2M from High-Tech Gründerfonds, zwei.7, NBank Capital, Axel Springer & Porsche Accelerator, and Jens Ohr.
TransCrypts, a record management platform that empowers consumers to own and share their work and income history in a verifiable and auditable manner, raised $2.4M from Mark Cuban, Protocol Labs, Techstars, Alumni Ventures, One Piece Ventures, The Fund, Global Millennial Capital, Underdog Labs, Atland Ventures, Asymmetry Ventures, and Decentralized VC.
Oya Femtech Apparel, an athletic apparel designed to support feminine health, raised $1.3M from Sixers Innovation Lab, REI Path Ahead Ventures, R/GA Ventures and Techstar Sports.
LEIA Health, a startup focused on supporting and helping new parents transition into motherhood, raised €1.4M from People Ventures Norsken, Unconventional Ventures, The Case for Her, and Octaquest.
Hatchfi, a crypto integration platform that securely connects users’ crypto accounts to any app like they would a bank account, raised $1.2M from Jude Gomilla, Delta Blockchain Fund and OrangeDAO.

Milltrust Ventures and Earth First Food Ventures launched The Smart Protein Fund, a new £242M investment fund targeting alternatives proteins.
The Smart Protein Fund will invest in food tech startups working on lab-grown meat, plant-based proteins, and fermentation technologies.
